Conference Fee
Thanks to support from the EU through the Horizon Europe programme and from Kassel University, MecaNano does not charge a conference fee.

Other Expenses
In accordance with COST rules, participants are responsible for arranging and covering their own travel, accommodation, and meal expenses.
As food outlets are not easily accessible from the campus, and to help reduce individual costs and simplify logistics, the organizers have arranged a group rate with the University Cafeteria.
By default, we will ask for a contribution of approximately 65€ per participant for meals. This will include lunch at the cafeteria (with multiple options) on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, as well as a Conference Dinner on Thursday evening. If you wish to opt out, please contact the organizers during registration.
Scholarships
Subject to available budget, MecaNano aims to subsidize the travel costs of a number of Young Researchers and Innovators. Selection will be based on merit, research topic, and COST criteria including but not limited to career stage (PhD / PostDoc), geographical location, gender.
Applications should be submitted through the registration form and require that applicants work in a COST country and have already applied for MecaNano membership. Financial decisions will be announced at the beginning of June.
If you are selected for reimbursement, please consult the COST rules before booking travel or accommodation. Note that all travel reimbursements are processed after successful participation in the event, and that processing may take several months. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
Eligibility
Only MecaNano members are eligible to attend the summer school. If you are not yet a member, please join (free of charge) in parallel to applying to the summer school. Beware that a different platform is used for MecaNano membership, see instructions here.
